Pathophysiological Types (Based on Pressure)
- Closed: No communication with outside air; pressure remains negative; often mild symptoms.
- Open (Sucking Chest Wound): Direct connection to the atmosphere; pleural pressure equals atmospheric pressure.
- Tension (Emergency ⚠️): One-way valve mechanism; air enters but cannot escape; pressure becomes positive, shifting the heart and trachea.

- Body Type: Higher risk in tall and thin individuals.

- X-ray: Characterized by lung collapse. but CT is more accurate
